Children face many obstacles as they grow up such as chronic stress, grief, self-esteem issues and bullying. During these times, they experience thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to sort through as they learn to manage and control their feelings. Children may act out, learn unhealthy ways to self-soothe or avoid feelings they think are too big to handle. It may be challenging to determine when your child can work through these issues independently and when they need a helping hand from a professional.

Signs your child may be in need of professional help:
·      Sudden or drastic changes in mood
·      Changes in sleeping and eating habits
·      Excessive fear and worries
·      Self-injurious behaviors
·      Regressed behaviors
·      Performance issues at school
·      Substance misuse
